Greater Glens Falls Transit to End Evening Service to Village
Greater Glens Falls Transit is eliminating its evening bus service after May 10, at least temporarily, said Transit Director Scott Sopzyk.
The evening routes after 6:10 p.m. from downtown Glens Falls to Aviation Mall and SUNY Adirondack in Queensbury, and to South Glens Falls, Hudson Falls and Fort Edward, will cease at the end of the SUNY Adirondack spring semester, Sopzyk said Thursday.
Transit and college officials will discuss over the summer whether the service will be resumed in the fall.
The discussion will include whether students staying in the new SUNY Adirondack 400-bed dorm, set to open in August, will be using bus service, he said.
The transit system has been evaluating whether to continue the evening service for several months, because of limited ridership. From the Post Star Newspaper: Read More>>
