Bike Path Re-opened after rabid coyote attack
UPDATE FROM LAW ENFORCEMENT: After consulting with NYS Fish and Wildlife and the Canal Corporation, the bike path from the Five Combines and Fort Edward, has been re-opened. Users of the path should remain vigilant and be aware of their surroundings on the path – especially if an animal is seen acting in an unusual manner. If you believe that you see a rabid animal, you are urged to not approach the animal and call 911 immediately.
Bike path closed after possible coyote attack
This is an important message from the Washington County Sheriffs Office. The Sheriffs Office, Fort Edward, Hudson Falls Police and New York State Environmental Conservation Police, are investigating reports of a possible rabid coyote, on the bike path between Towpath Road and the Five Combines. If you come in contact with this animal, do not approach it. Call 9 1 1 immediately. This animal is considered aggressive and dangerous at this time. Information about National Grid’s Request to Raise Rates
In a letter dated June 30, 2017, National Grid sent a letter regarding National Grid’s request of the New York State Public Service Commission to approve a proposed increase in electric and gas delivery rates.
